Pure numbers would make Sinton the favorite. The Pirates are coming off a 12-2 season and with 15 starters returning. But replacing quarterback Josh Harrison, who accounted for more than 4,000 yard and 48 touchdowns, seems nearly impossible. Senior Carson Cave, who nearly took the starting quarterback position from Harrison as a sophomore, will have that chance.

MARC PEREZ

An impressive looking 6-foot-3, 265-pound college prospect, Perez had more than 90 tackles and forced six fumbles in 2009. The Sinton senior will likely see a number of double- and triple-teams in 2010 from his defensive end position.

CARSON CAVE

Nearly the Sinton starting quarterback as a sophomore, Cave will finally get to take the reigns of the offense full-time in 2010. Given the numbers last year’s starter Josh Harrison Cave will have the chance to put up some very big numbers.
