Excluding touchdowns when the two teams practiced in the red zone, Baytown Sterling found the end zone four times to Rayburn’s two.<br /> <br /> The scrimmage ended with a simulated two quarters of a live game with a running clock. Sam Rayburn and quarterback Agustin Velasquez needed just four plays to guide the team 65 yards to paydirt. In shotgun formation, the three-year letterman connected for a 25-yard pass before the running game netted the next 31. Rayburn’s first score of the scrimmage was the result of that 12-play drive. Using their third quarterback of the night, the Texans marched 70 yards, reserving it all for the running game and a facemask call against the Rangers.
Rayburn overcame a second down and 16 situation when the running game produced 36 yards over the next two plays, depositing the team on the 12. The Texans finished the drive by moving the chains on a fourth-down play and scoring from five yards out on third down.
