The Holmes Huskies lost a hard fought battle against the Central Catholic Buttons 35-19. Defensively, the Huskies were led by linebackers Andre Espitia who had a team high 10 tackles and Colton Pannel with 8. The defense forced a fumble when the Buttons were striking inside the 10 yard line. On special teams the Huskies scored on a punt block which was recovered and scored by defensive end Joshua Gilmore. The Huskies offense was led by receivers Lattrell Gaither and Joel Ortiz who combined for 132 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

Next up for the Huskies are the Hutto Hippos (3-0) this Friday September 19th at Hippo Stadium. Kick-off is set for 7:30pm.
